CARLOS “LOSO” BEDOYA
Juan Carlos Bedoya a.k.a. Loso, was born in Queens New York on October 23rd 1988. Growing up in a single parent home he quickly took on responsibilities being the oldest of two brothers and one sister. At the age of eleven, his mother moved him and his siblings to Tampa, FL. In the year 2000, some missionaries came to their home and shared the gospel with his mother, who in turn believed. It was at this time that Loso was introduced to not just church, but Christianity. By God’s providence he was being poured into by some brothers from the church. He thought he was doing everything in order to "live right" but later found out that the influence for his right behavior was not the gospel, but moralism. In 2007, while browsing through a friend’s social media's page, he came across a video where he heard the gospel for the first time. It was that message which Los believed he was saved by. A year later he was introduced to a group of friends who were involved in a Christian rap ministry called H.G.A. (His Glory Alone). Bible studies, evangelizing and fellowship made up the majority of the ministry’s goals, and it is also in this ministry that his passion for preaching developed. In 2009 he began attending Trinity College of Florida where he is currently pursuing a pastoral degree. It was also around this time that he decided to use rap as an avenue to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ. He now does shows around the country that not only include music, but also coming alongside Pastors to create a Spoken Word that helps to illustrate their sermons. He hopes and prays that this is just a gateway to what he longs to do, preach. With the help from the elders at his church, Westminster Presbyterian, he hopes to glorify God in his schooling, music ministry, and Lord willing, pastoring in a local assembly.
